The Brief
Lexology is a brand thats delivers the most comprehensive source of international legal updates, analysis and insights. They publish in excess of 450 articles every day from over 800 leading law firms and service providers worldwide across 50 work areas in 25 languages.

I was briefed to create a simple, elegant piece of branding that could be recognised in the ever expanding corporate legal field. It needed to be not fussy and look fresh, just like the Lexology product itself.

The Creative Solution
I came up with a simple, current, typographical approach. They requested no illustrative elements in the main logo as this was meant to be seen within a field of logos and mainly across the digital landscape. So, with the introduction of a burst of light green and i created a logo mark to accompany the work mark, which was made to show a tree of information which was used to reinforce the branding across other medius. I created a brand that sticks out in a sea of corporate blue logos and works great across digital. The client liked it so much that they asked me to design the UI for the website also, which uses the same branding principles of clean type, with the bright burst of green, across buttons and infographics.
